Description Supervisor - Production & Packaging Maintenance Summary: Responsible for daily Production & Packaging Maintenance functions in support of the Plant including coordination and activities of all Production & Packaging Mechanics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned 1.\tFamiliar with the manufacturing operation, equipment and support systems of the company and will set up systems to respond to maintenance concerns regarding them. 2.\tCooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.3.\tReviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.4.\tResponsible for setting up and managing systems for preventative maintenance.5.\tDevelop staff to provide the necessary skills to support the maintenance responsibilities for the plant. 6.\tContinues to access skill levels and recommends developmental activities as appropriate.7.\tProvides necessary support for the other plant functions/activities as determined by the Assistant Maintenance Manager.8.\tContinually evaluates the capabilities of the packaging & production Maintenance department relating to equipment, tools and other items necessary to provide a satisfactory level of service to the plant.9.\tRecruits and develops staff to provide the necessary skills to support the maintenance responsibilities for the plant.10.\tAssesses systems for re-engineering or troubleshooting at both hands-on levels and engineering levels. 11.\tParticipates actively as a member of the plant management team. Provides necessary support for the other plant functions/activities as determined by the Assistant Maintenance Manager. Requirements Qualifications: \tDairy or other food related experience preferred. \tAttention to detail and accuracy in work required. \tStrong communication abilities, written and verbal. \tKnowledge of computer software. Education and/or Experience: \tHigh School Diploma/GED required. \tTechnical degree in Technical/Engineering discipline preferred.
