What You'll Do:
The Senior Planner, Programmatic Media supports strategic planning and owns campaign execution for an assigned client. This position is both strategic and tactical in scope, requiring the Senior Planner to independently generate strategic insights for the campaigns in their portfolio and implement campaigns with the support of Programmatic Analysts/Sr. Analysts. Managers train Programmatic Analysts on client specific requirements, providing expertise in optimization strategies and guidance on best practices related to client communication.
The candidate should possess the ability to break down technical and complex omnichannel programmatic concepts into simple and easy-to-grasp ideas for clients and internal stakeholders to understand. A storyteller at heart, conveying innovative and forward thinking programmatic strategy and how it fits into the overall media plan is a must.
You should have prior online trafficking and campaign management experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and prior experience with bid management platforms and active campaign optimization.
Core Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate omnichannel programmatic strategies and rational for tactical approaches for each campaign
- Execute, manage, and optimize online programmatic media campaigns and programs for agency clients while meeting or surpassing client performance expectations
- Cultivate strong client relationships
- Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artifacts, and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch
- Partner with Analytics team on campaign measurement reporting and insights generation
- Provide regular insights to clients detailing performance, campaign optimizations, and new opportunities
- Refine and manage campaign QA process
- Generate and manage monthly bill/pay and spend reporting in coordination with Analyst
- Lead and assist in directing trading and ad ops team on buys as required
- Attend client meetings
- Participate in regular knowledge share sessions to share and learn new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred, preferably in marketing, advertising, business, engineering, statistics, economics, sociology, or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience of directly related experience in programmatic media
- Working knowledge in technologies such as The Trade Desk, PulsePoint, DeepIntent, Lasso, or other equivalent platforms required.
- Understanding of traditional and interactive media planning elements
- Resourceful, curious, and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Strong analytics, organizational, and communication skills
- Client facing experience with the ability to identify risks and effectively manage through issues
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare space preferred
- Experience in additional biddable media a strong plus (e.g. paid social, paid search)
- Previous leadership/management experience is a plus
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $X to $Y. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
