Reporting to the Director of Acquisitions, Description, and Discovery (ADD), the incumbent is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support for the acquisitions, cataloging, and metadata creation functions of the department. Supervises eight staff who perform a variety of duties, including ordering, receiving, invoicing, claiming, copy cataloging, original cataloging, and metadata creation for digital objects. Helps to establish and modify procedures and workflows in consultation with an ADD librarian and other library staff and librarians, as required. The Acquisitions, Description, and Discovery department was formed in 2024 from the merger of the Acquisitions unit and Metadata and Technical Services department.
The full salary range for the Acquisitions, Description, and Discovery Supervisor is $61,000 - $106,800 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. |
