The Recruitment Coordinator recruits students for CAPLA's main campus and online programs. This role organizes visits, tours, and information sessions, coordinates with University Admissions, and represents CAPLA at recruitment events.

Responsibilities include managing applications, tracking prospects, advising applicants, and maintaining admissions data. The coordinator also works with Marketing and Communications to develop recruitment strategies and prospect communications. Regular program reviews ensure continuous improvement in recruitment efforts.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruit both undergraduate students into CAPLA's academic programs, both main campus and online.
  • Organize visits/tours/information sessions for prospective audiences and coordinate with University Admissions tour resources.
  • Coordinate with CAPLA faculty, advisors, marketing and communications, and administrators to consolidate recruitment efforts throughout the college.
  • Coordinate and represent CAPLA's involvement at campus recruitment events and programs.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the undergraduate recruiting and admissions process including coordinating applications with the Admissions Processing Unit, tracking and communicating with prospects, managing admissions data, advising prospects and applicants, supporting the development of special recruiting programs, and maintaining records on all college undergraduate recruiting activities.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications team to develop a recruitment marketing strategy and to develop prospect communications for the main campus and fully online programs.
  • Review and assess recruiting programs annually.
  • May include oversight of the Change of Major website, initial contact and tracking, pre-advising, assessment of credits
    transfer from one degree program to another, then referral to an advisor for formal change of major in UAccess and plan of study determination.
  • Transfer Student Duties: May include assessment of a prospective student's academic history to determine "fit" for a CAPLA major, the possibility of transfer credit, and potential timeline to degree.
  • Develop partnerships with campus partners (Residence Life, Honors College, Office of Admissions, etc.) regarding recruitment.
  • Serves on the Campus Recruitment Committee (CRC).
  • Supervise, with advisors, the student CAPLA Student Ambassadors program.
  • Responsible for supporting graduate recruitment efforts, including collaborating with graduate program chairs and coordinator on graduate recruitment strategies and events, making initial contact with prospective graduate students and communicating data to the graduate coordinator for further management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with prospective students, parents, and university partners.
  • Organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple recruitment initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze data and track recruitment trends to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in student recruitment, admissions, or academic advising within a higher education setting.
  • Experience coordinating campus visits, tours, and recruitment events.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing and communication teams on recruitment strategies.
  • Experience with admissions and enrollment management systems (e.g., UAccess, CRM software).
  • Strong collaboration experience with faculty, staff, and university partners.
