Your Solution Partner.

We have an immediate opening for a Shop Helper (Paint Shop) to work in our Lawrenceville, GA facility and will report to our Supervisor, Paint Shop. In this position, you will assist skilled workers, leads, and supervisors in multiple departments with a variety of tasks, such as material handling, basic machine operation, cleaning work areas, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a smooth production flow, often with a focus on keeping the shop clean and organized.

Responsibilities:

Fabrication


  • Sanding, deburring, grinding metal production parts
  • Assisting in basic machine operation including hardware insertion and drill presses
  • Moving material to other designated workstations in the shop and other departments
  • Cleaning and organizing the shop (5S)


Paint

  • Assisting with paint masking of production parts
  • Hanging and removing parts from the paint line


Assembly

  • Subassembly
  • Organization of inventory


Materials

  • Packing
  • Shipping/Receiving assistance
  • Moving materials



Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions
  • Basic understanding of shop software to clock in and out of production orders
  • Ability to use hand tools including sanders, drills, hammers, wrenches
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and work with limited supervision
  • Ability to understand quality requirements, and do basic inspections on the result of their process
  • Reliability is essential
  • Must have good basic oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently



Preferred Education/Certifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent/2-4 years related experience preferred
