Job Responsibilities
- The role is responsible for leading capital planning, business continuity, process and equipment capacity, and facility layout. Integral in equipment selection and responsible to commission, improve, and decommission said equipment.
- Planning and project organization - ability to plan over a 3-18 month time span involving multiple inputs from external and internal customers.
- The Maintenance & Facility Manager will develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, serve as building systems technical expert and provide leadership of Maintenance personnel and day-to-day operation of building systems and staff. Active "hands-on" leadership.
- Responsible for all aspects regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost (SQDC) of Maintenance Department
- Lead, coach, and influence all direct and indirect employees affiliated with the Department. This includes not only the Value Stream Leaders, Team Leaders and Technicians but the Quality Engineer, Manufacturing/Process Engineer, Production Planner/Scheduler, and Maintenance employees

- Knowledge of all relevant manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing practices and Six Sigma techniques.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD LT to create, modify, and read building plans
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings, such as general construction, electrical and mechanical.
- Education: BS EE or ME highly preferred.
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation experience is required.
- Extensive knowledge and application of building and equipment systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chilled water/cooling and construction processes
- Relevant Work Experience: Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in facilities operation and equipment maintenance. Strong leadership skills and willingness to learn required.
Working Conditions Indoor production environment, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures, some work outside may be required, Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts. Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations required, overtime dependent on business need. Physical requirements Frequent repetitive hand movements, using hand tools - pliers, sanders, scissors, etc Frequently remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time Frequently move about the facility indoors as well as outdoors to make repairs, etc... Constantly positions self to repair/build equipment and/or facility Frequently ascends/descends a ladder to service equipment and/or complete a building repair Must be able to detect equipment issues and assess for repairs Regularly move tools and equipment up to >25 lbs.
