Senior Hardware Project Manager

The Senior Hardware Project Manager will lead Space and Defense hardware development programs through all aspects of the Nokia Create process, culminating in successful production release. The hardware development effort will require close collaboration with Release Managers, hardware engineering, hardware integration and test, Nokia Supply Chain, and third-party hardware suppliers.

As part of the team, you will:



  • Plan all aspects of the hardware development work breakdown structure as this relates to the MN Create process
  • Interface with Architecture Team members to ensure proper specification of the desired product, meeting all required use cases.
  • Coordinate estimation efforts to develop program budget and staffing needs.
  • Hold regular coordination meetings to integrate the efforts of all parties, internal and external, to meet development deadlines.
  • Provide weekly reporting of program status within release manager meetings and to management as required.
  • Interface with Nokia Supply Chain representatives at a detailed level to plan material acquisition, prototype factory assembly, and factory test to deliver per the prototype plan.
  • Compile all necessary evidence at P7 and P8 milestones to summarize risk assessment and product quality metrics.
  • Lead the effort to summarize evidence of full compliance to all hardware requirements and successfully launch the product into production.



NOTE: Due to the requirements of the National Security Agreement, only US Citizens and holders of a valid Green Card are eligible for this position.

You have:



  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident is required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • At least 15 years' experience in HW Project Management taking products to production.
  • Knowledge of the MN Create process.
  • Customer and partner/vendor relationship management experience.
  • Proficient communication (verbal, written) skills
