Co-op R&D Micro

Description

The co-op will contribute to the R&D Microbiology department's ability to develop new and support existing products and timely completion of projects by performing routine tasks and may be a part of more complex experiments.

Principal Contributions / Accountabilities and Associated Activities

• Work independently to complete routine microbiology and molecular biology laboratory tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Under the supervision of more senior R&D staff, perform routine experiments.
• Perform data collection.
• Comply with protocols and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate documentation.
• Working with senior R&D staff, the individual with plan, prioritize and complete assigned activities.
• Reasonable, reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential job functions required for this position.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Pursuing an A.S. in laboratory technology, a B.S. or higher in Microbiology, health-related profession, biomedical technology or molecular science.
• Have completed at least one molecular biology laboratory class or other relevant laboratory coursework.
• Theoretical knowledge of relevant techniques
