Position Summary
The Salesforce Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions that meet current and future business needs. This role ensures seamless integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems while defining best practices and standards for development, deployment, and automation. The Salesforce Architect leads a team of engineers, collaborates with government partners, and applies DevOps methodologies to streamline workflows. What you'll do
  • Collaborate with government partners and other technology leaders to architect and design scalable and high-performing Salesforce solutions that meet current and future business needs
  • Leading the architectural design of Salesforce implementations, ensuring best practices and technical excellence.
  • Defining and enforcing governance policies, security best practices, and scalability principles.
  • Ensuring seamless integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems via APIs, middleware (e.g., Mulesoft), and event-driven architectures.
  • Providing guidance on Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows.
  • Reviewing technical documentation, performing code reviews, and ensuring code quality.
  • Define best practices and standards for Salesforce development, integration, and deployment processes
  • Implement automation strategies, including CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and testing frameworks for Salesforce applications
  • Work in an agile manner to efficiently ship new features that meet user needs
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems and investigate issues when they occur
  • Take part in hiring activities (e.g., submitting referrals, conducting interviews, and attending interview debriefs), as needed
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
Required skills
  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions
  • Strong understanding of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows
  • Proficiency in integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs, Mulesoft, ETL tools, or event-driven architecture
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Salesforce DX
  • Experience in cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong understanding of user interface design best practices for Salesforce applications
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically around trade-offs and short-term vs. long-term benefits
  • Ability to define and enforce governance policies, security best practices, and scalability principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical and otherwise
  • Highly resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Tenacity to dive into problems and iterate in working code
  • An adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset
Desired skills
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (preferred) or Application/System Architect, Platform Developer II certifications
  • Experience with Salesforce Industry Clouds (e.g., Government Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud)
  • Experience with Salesforce AI, Einstein Analytics, or Tableau CRM
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2) for government or highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Governance and Center of Excellence (CoE) models
  • Experience leading a Salesforce technical team in an enterprise environment
  • Experience in owning a technical roadmap and evaluating emerging technologies
  • Experience working with large-scale data models and designing performant architectures
Other requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired.
