What you will do:

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in Norman, Oklahoma. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. You will work with the Ducted Systems Commercial Product Management team on programs related to the commercial rooftop unit and split HVAC systems. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below.

How you will do it:

  • This is a summer internship program, in some instances previous interns have extended their time when capabilities, availability, and program budget has allowed.

  • You will assist with competitive analysis, develop technical sales collateral, and organize online resources for customers on JCIs company Navigator platform.

  • Additional responsibilities will include data gathering and analysis, QA testing of online tools, and process documentation and tracking.

  • Participate in the Future Leaders Internship Programming events that include but are not limited to: weekly professional development sessions, 8-week innovation challenge and a self-directed virtual learning journey and special events

  • In addition to the responsibilities above, you will assist the 5 commercial Product Managers with day-to-day activities and special projects developed around your skill set. Responsibilities will be able to expand as your abilities do.

What we look for

RequiredQualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university

  • Pursuing a degree inEngineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)

  • An effective communicator to all levels of the organization

  • Must have demonstrated computer skills, including use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and remain organized on different activities
