The client is looking for a Global Head of IT Finance and Vendor Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, managing and optimizing IT Finance and Vendor Management efforts. The role will focus on both Vendor outsourcing strategies and Financial Budgeting/Forecasting. This role requires a seasoned professional to manage client's operational and strategic objectives and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Finance:
- Leadership position responsible for developing financial reporting, highlighting risks and variances while overseeing a budget/forecasting process and provide guidance on major financial decisions.
- Work collaboratively with finance partners and technology senior leaders in preparing budgets, quarterly reports and tracking.
- Analyzing expenses to make strategic recommendations for identifying issues, opportunities and/or additional controls to ensure proactively managing technology budget and actuals.
- Forecasting and modeling skills to prepare 5-year forecasts based on multiple factors both internal and external.
- Strong communication, presenting and relationship management skills to present and collaborate with senior leaders and ensuring accountability.
- Technology savvy to work on automating reports and continual enhancements to eliminate/reduce manual errors, work-efforts.
- Vendor:
- Establish and maintain strategic vendor relationships and oversee all aspects of the vendor-life cycle
- Supervise a team to ensure appropriate controls and workflows are completed in a timely manner with the required oversight and reporting
- Produce reporting to monitor vendor onboarding, plan to actuals and offboarding
- Develop and implement a strategics vendor score to drive risk mitigation, operational resilience efforts and strategic partnerships, spend
- Invest in nurturing strong relationships with strategic partners to ensure high levels of service and rates
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in IT VMO and IT Finance
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a dynamic environment.
- Business domain knowledge of Insurance and/or Reinsurance or Financial Services in general will be an added advantage.

- IT VMO:
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful vendor strategies that drive business value and competitive advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct TCO analysis and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in vendor management tools and technologies, with experience in contract management systems preferred.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, review contracts and obligations, review invoices and change orders for contract compliance
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in vendor management
- Understanding of IT Services outsourcing, Software Development Lifecyle, IT Infrastructure, type of contracts (T&M, Fixed Priced and Managed Services), Onshore, Offshore and Nearshore models.
- Ability to collaborate, advise and manage expectations of stakeholders, earning trust and building durable relationships.
- Self-starter, takes ownership and accountability, driven, focused, collaborative with ability to work through ambiguity.
- IT Finance:
- Plan, develop and manage budget for information technology operation and projects
- Ensure proper financial accounting methods, policies, procedures and principles as well as creating and maintaining fiscal files and records.
- Monitor and analyze IT financial data and produce financial reports and statements and GAAP financial reporting.
- Previous experience implementing automated financial reporting.
- Establish appropriate KPI's across the IT Organization to help support and improve efficiency & performance.
- Experience with enterprise corporate finance systems and platforms.
- Guide IT leadership in financial decision-making and promote financial transparency.
- Develop and improve processes for managing the IT budget, forecasts, and spending analysis.
- Work closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT leadership to track spending, analyze variances, and report financial metrics.
- Build frameworks to track and report on financial performance, including project value measurements
- Influence stakeholders to adopt changes that enhance transparency and accountability in IT spending.

Pay rate salary range: $210,000.00 - $220,000.00
