From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

1. Operates forklift/powered equipment safely and responsibly.
2. Wraps pallets
3. Truck loading and unloading
4. Practices the highest standards of GMP's.
5. Documents safety checks on fork-lifts/powered equipment before use
6. Ensures accurate documentation of all inbound paperwork.
7. Completes activity movement sheets daily.
8. Reports any product or property damage to DC Superintendent or DC Manager
9. Work with the Quality and Food Safety Team to ensure the quality and specifications of the product are continually being met.
10. Take necessary measures if people perform unsafe acts or are in a dangerous environment.
11. Key contributor to the maintenance of FSSC 22000 system
12. Uphold all rules about the confidentiality of information regarding Lactalis products, recipes, and employee information.

Candidate must have the following attributes/skills: strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance, color, and ability to focus), ability to push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally, be able to stand for an entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching).

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.

Experience:

• Previous employment in a food industry setting is preferred.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills are required.
• Perishable and dry goods warehouse experience
• Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.
• Stable and dependable work history is required.

Requirements

Specialized Knowledge:

• Inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO system formats.
• Forklift and pallet jack operation.
• Basic data entry skills

Skills/Abilities:

• Experience with forklift and power-driven equipment operation/knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Manual dexterity
• Vision abilities (close, distance color, and ability to focus)
• Push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally,
• Stand/walk for an entire shift.
• Perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching)

Sign On Bonus & Pay:

We are offering a $2,000* Hiring Bonus to candidates for hourly positions. *Bonus amount is a gross amount. $1,000 will be paid out in following paycheck 90 days after hire; an additional $1,000 will be paid out in following paycheck 180 days after hire. Temporary, part-time and certain rehired employees are not eligible.

**Employees with attendance and/or performance infractions as stated in the policy will not be eligible for bonus pay out.

Pay: $25.25/hr with shift premium. Weekend Premium 20%. Lactalis offers very competitive pay, benefits and paid time off.
