Position Summary

The Legal Studies Institute is seeking part-time faculty who can teach paralegal and legal focused courses in either a remote or in person environment. Familiarity with the Canvas Learning Management System is a plus. A strong candidate should have proven ability to teach college-level legal-based courses with a fundamental understanding of recent and future trends for the Paralegal field and experience with a wide range of legal-specific computer applications is highly preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
Assessing student progress in meeting course learning objectives through formal and informal assessment,
Holding in-person or virtual office hours,
Meeting required deadlines for submitting grades and attendance,
Participating in assessment and/or accreditation activities,
Adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards

Required Qualifications:

J.D. degree

Member in good standing of Maryland Bar or another state bar

Prior teaching experience
