Under the general direction of the CNAS Divisional Dean of Student Academic Affairs, the Assistant Dean is responsible for operational management and administrative direction of two student affairs units with broad responsibility and campuswide impact. This position directs the long-range data-driven strategic planning, operations, and administrative activities of the CNAS Graduate Student Affairs Center and the Enrollment Management Center. Responsibilities have an organization-wide impact for Graduate Students in Recruitment and Admissions, Fellowships, Enrolled Student Advising and Retention, Graduate Program Management including records, program reviews and Alumni Relations. Serves as the College Approver for Graduate Student Management System including Graduate Admissions and Graduate Student Financial Support. Responsible for implementation of Graduate Student Employment contracts. Administers CNAS Scholarships to both Graduate and Undergraduate students. Responsible for Graduate and Undergraduate Enrollment Management, Course and Program approvals, TA Allocation, alternative course management strategies. Student success functions include maintenance of all CNAS learning communities, the Building Bridges to the Professoriate (BB2P), and Career Mentoring of Underrepresented STEM Students for the Professoriate (CUSP). The incumbent analyzes the effectiveness of and establishes future direction for functional policies and programs based on data-driven research and analyses. The primary duty is the management of other managers, professionals, and support staff. This position is the primary resource for College Leadership and faculty in navigating graduate student labor and employment administrative management.
Please note: Applicants will be required to complete a presentation as part of the selection process. The full salary range for the Assistant Dean - CNAS GSAC and EMC is $100,100 - $190,500. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
