ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all designated areas (offices, restrooms, kitchens, hallways, etc.).
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, countertops, windowsills, and furniture.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
  • Ensure all windows, doors, and glass surfaces are kept clean and free from smudges.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, floor waxing, and sanitizing high-touch areas.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to management.
  • Maintain necessary supplies and inform management of supplies to be ordered as needed.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and cleaning standards.
  • Assist with special cleaning tasks or projects as needed.



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

NON ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Attends staff meetings as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.



LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to establish rapport and relate sensitively to poverty/homeless issues.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of basic math facts: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.



REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form, to solve problems requiring decision-making skills within program parameters.
  • Ability to use analysis and judgment in the adaptation and interpretation of established practices and procedures to meet problems and situations within clearly defined roles.
  • Requires minimal supervision, requests additional assignments or responsibilities; suggests and implements improved work methods.



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Access to reliable, licensed, insured driver and transportation required.
