Description
Position Summary The Vice Provost position reports to the Provost and assists with all matters of academic administration, policy, and planning and leads campus-wide initiatives at the direction of the Provost. The Vice Provost will provide leadership, advocacy, coordination, and recommendations for academic and non-academic initiatives supporting student success and persistence at Lipscomb University. The Vice Provost works closely with a wide range of university stakeholders and units reporting to the Provost. The Vice Provost advises the Provost on a number of key academic appointments and appeals processes, promotion and tenure, retention, and related issues. This position will also work closely with administrators and staff in Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, Institutional Research, and Analytics, and other units actively engaged in research and assessment of student retention initiatives and intervention opportunities enhancing student persistence toward graduation.
