About the Role:

The Temporary HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) position involves executing programming for high complexity models and statistical analyses to support natural history and disease burden objectives. The role includes conducting quality control checks on project data tables and outputs, identifying programming issues, and recommending solutions. The individual will report to HEOR teams to discuss project needs and goals, build programming plans for analyses, and provide documentation to support potential publications that utilize analyzed data. This is a terrific opportunity for someone to join our team on a part time basis, working with exceptional talent 20 hours a week. *This is a part-time position (20 hours a week)* *PhD student is preferred* *Remote or Hybrid schedule* Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Designs, develops and implements projects to assist in the creation of disease or product specific evidence to inform commercial strategy, value assessment and market access

  • Highly proficient in data manipulation and statistical analysis using SAS, R, Python or other statistical programs.

  • Works closely with the HEOR program team leads to be responsible for HEOR content

  • Collaborates with internal business partners, to review protocol and support design of observational research, to meet the evidence needs of external consumers

  • Oversee analytical execution to ensure the analyses are conducted with the highest accuracy and quality from other vendors or programmers.

  • Develop knowledge in the covered disease area and identify new data sources, methods, and collaboration opportunities to address business needs

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • MS or MPH degree in health economics, health outcomes, or related field preferred and 2+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry experience in a HEOR role with direct research experience preferred; claims analysis, data set analysis and possible economic modeling is highly preferred OR

  • PhD or PharmD degree in health economics, health outcomes, or related field preferred and 1+ years similar experience noted above; or completion of an HEOR 2-year fellowship with a research focus; may include postdoc experience

  • Begins to understand how to think outside of the technical process and consider the impact decisions will have on the broader project goals

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Strong computer, communications skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong project management, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills

  • Solid data analytic skills. Will have used large commercial claims and publicly accessible data sets as the foundation of research

  • Strong written communication skills including publication/medical writing experience is required

  • Knowledge in claims analysis, data set analysis and possible economic modeling

  • Ability to analyze and summarize data, think critically, manage projects, influence others, work in a team environment, and synthesize complex clinical and non-clinical statistical and medical information to effectively communicate medical and scientific information

  • Excellent presentation and highly proficient computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and SAS or other statistical programming.

  • Strong knowledge in Pharmaceutical industry

  • Recognizes fundamental anomalies in data points and identifies issues in experiments / processes

  • Strong knowledge of multiple scientific disciplines, scientific principles, methods and techniques

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability working with a variety of research methods
