Position Title: Consumer Insights Researcher

Location: Culver City, CA

Contract length: 6 months with potential to extend

Pay range: $39-$44.76/HR (W2)

Overview: Our client, a global leader in consumer technology and entertainment, is seeking a talented and resourceful Quantitative and Qualitative Researcher to join their Consumer Insights team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and enjoys working with cross-functional teams to generate valuable insights that drive business decisions. The researcher will report to the Consumer Insights Lead and will be responsible for conducting research that helps shape the future of the company's products, marketing, and consumer strategies.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Brand & Ad Tracking: Oversee the brand and ad tracking survey process, keeping up with campaign and product launches, tracking assets, coordinating survey updates with vendors, and handling ad-hoc data requests.
  • Quantitative Research: Design and program quantitative surveys from scratch, analyze survey data in Excel, and produce actionable reports with quick turnarounds.
  • Qualitative Research: Write discussion guides and analyze qualitative insights to support the understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendors for in-depth research projects, including vendor onboarding, purchase orders, and research budget tracking.
  • RFP Management: Draft RFPs and review proposals from external agencies.
  • Trend Analysis: Synthesize youth and cultural trends and provide weekly insights to the team.
  • Reporting: Create clear, story-driven reports that are easy to digest and actionable for stakeholders.
  • Social Listening: Write queries for social listening tools, pull and interpret the data to inform consumer insights.
  • Earned Media Tracking: Support the team with tracking earned media moments and performance.


Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in market research, with experience on both the agency and client sides preferred.
  • Survey Design: Expertise in writing and programming quantitative surveys from scratch, with a focus on crafting the right questions to uncover meaningful insights.
  • Qualitative Skills: Experience with writing qualitative screeners and discussion guides is a plus.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Curiosity & Passion: A deep curiosity for understanding consumer motivations and a passion for exploring data to uncover insights.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable learning new methodologies, tools, and platforms quickly, and proficient in using Apple Keynote, Pages, and Numbers.
  • Creative Thinking: Resourceful and flexible, able to think creatively to solve problems and provide actionable insights.
  • Growth Mindset: A willingness to learn, grow, and take feedback in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Proactive Attitude: A self-starter with a can-do attitude, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
