Executive Director Digital Health Programs

The role leads the development, implementation, and operational oversight of digital health solutions across a large health system, with a strong emphasis on supporting value-based care. This position requires strategic leadership in designing, launching, and managing digital products that enhance patient outcomes, support care teams and care transformation, improve operational efficiency, and enable the shift to value-based contracting. This role demands the ability to skillfully drive disruptive innovation, while effectively collaborating with internal teams including clinical, operational, and technical partners while also managing external partnerships and outsourced relationships to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry standards. Leveraging agile methodologies, team members will include product managers, product owners and delivery managers, this role combines innovative product vision with a pragmatic approach to execution and continuous improvement to optimize patient care and support the health system?s transition to value-driven care models.


1.Strategic Leadership:
a.Develop and implement strategies for digital health programs that align with the organization?s value-based care and population
health objectives.
b.Lead cross-functional teams to integrate digital health tools into existing and emerging value-based care initiatives.
c.Serve as a thought leader in identifying and evaluating new technologies, partnerships, and trends in digital health that
enhance value-based care outcomes.
d.Serve as a thought leader for our quarterly OKR process
2.Product Management:
a.Oversee the design, development, and deployment of digital health solutions, ensuring they meet our goals for human
experience, are scalable, and are in support of our care model and our clinical, operational, and financial objectives.
b.Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of digital health products, from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with value-
based care initiatives.
c.Engage subject matter experts and stakeholders in the product development and delivery management processes.
d.Oversee the design, development and maintenance of value-based care playbooks in collaboration with clinical and operational
stakeholders.
e.Ensure training, education and best practices related to use of digital health solutions is developed and delivered.
3.Operational Oversight:
a.Ensure digital health solutions meet the operational needs of value-based care objectives with a focus on the support of the
care model across our diverse population health programs.
b.Ensure that digital health solutions meet regulatory and compliance requirements and are aligned with industry best practices.
c.Monitor product performance, utilizing data and analytics to drive continuous improvement in outcomes and efficiency.
4.Stakeholder Engagement:
a.Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to ensure digital health product needs are met.
b.Partner with clinical leaders, particularly provider champions (employed and independent providers/practice teams), care
management, and population health teams to ensure digital health solutions, population health management platform
workflows, and analytics align with and support the care model. Drive innovation in the care model through digital health
product leadership.
c.Partner with clinical, operational and financial leaders to prioritize features and capabilities and ensure alignment with the
organization?s business priorities
d.Partner with information technology (IT) and third-party vendors in the day-to-day operations of digital health products and
shared services (identity, security, maintenance)
e.Partner with information security, and compliance and privacy teams with regard to the handling of data and to ensure the safe
handling and use of protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII), especially as it relates to
solution access across the clinically integrated network and external partners.
f.Lead and participate in vendor selection processes as some product development will require coordination with third party
solutions.
g.Represent the organization at industry forums and with partners to position the health system as a leader in digital health for
value-based care.
5.Technology and Systems Management:
a.Participate in the selection, implementation, and optimization of digital health platforms, tools, and systems.
b.Ensure solutions governance policies and processes are followed and participate in governance related activities.
c.Remain current on emerging technologies and digital health solutions to enhance the organization?s capabilities.

EDUCATION:
Required: Master?s degree in computer science, product design/human-center design, computational sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, or related), engineering, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in delivery management and/or product development
Preferred:
Focus on healthcare software/technology development.
