What is the role about?

This role ensures seamless communication between Endress+Hauser and our customers by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to invoicing, taxation, and other financial matters. By acting as a liaison between external customers and internal teams, this person is responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening long-term business relationships. Key stakeholders include customers, finance and accounting teams, sales representatives, and customer service associates.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Maintain tax related records and files, including maintaining customer files in computer system.
  • Communicate with customers regarding tax certificate matters and regular contact with sales associates including sales representatives, to resolve customer disputes and problems which result in delayed payments, deductions, etc.
  • Investigate disputed items by comparing invoices to purchase orders and other archived documents.
  • Monthly review and processing of sales tax adjustments, validation of sales tax certificates from customers, and verify sales tax rates to ensure the right rates are being used.
  • Maintain and renew state and local registration forms.
  • Monitor accuracy of the certificate database and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance indirect forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial projections.
  • Lead and drive cross-functional projects as a subject matter expert in finance, providing strategic insights and guidance to ensure successful project execution and alignment with business objectives.

What do we expect from you?

You will have (required):

  • Associate's degree in business or accounting.
  • Understanding of accounting and business principles and practices.

You may have (preferred):

  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting.
  • Sales tax and exemption certificates knowledge.
  • Data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and to be comfortable communicating with customers at any level in an organization.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain schedules with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work and make informed decisions independently and on own initiative.
  • Demonstrates trust, respect, and support for others, fostering teamwork and a collaborative spirit.
  • Collaborates effectively with others, sometimes across departments, to achieve organizational goals and enhance customer experience.
  • Prioritizes the customer perspective in business decisions by actively seeking to understand customer needs and problems, initiating solutions based on this understanding, and implementing feedback to enhance the overall experience and prevent future issues.
