Position summary:

As the Contracts Management Analyst, you are responsible for contract and document management, administration, and/or coordination and adherence to Company Policies processes and procedures of all types of agreements and contracts for the Natural Gas businesses, including pipeline service agreements, gas sales and purchase agreements (NAESB's), and financial (derivative) purchase agreements (ISDA's). This position will include continual coordination with Black Hills' legal regulatory, gas supply, gas transportation services, energy services, treasury, middle office and other impacted representatives, including external stakeholders.

Pay Range: $84,600 - $126,900 (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Location: Denver, Colorado or Council Bluffs, Iowa

Essential Functions:
* Provide management, administration, and/or coordination of NAESB/ISDA and pipeline transportation service and other various contracts including agreements through to execution, term management and renewal initiation, initial review of changes to special provisions or non-standard company contract provisions, and initial drafting of contract language.
* Liaison with counter-party contract administration teams to initiate, renew, amend or addend natural gas supply, storage, transportation, or other related agreements.
* Participate in capacity release support by the monitoring and entry of contract entitlement.
* Ensure timely and accurate entry of negotiated or discounted rates based on industry requirements, and pipeline rate entry within the trading platform (Endur)
* Identify and track contractual obligations and trigger events associated with contracts to include contract renewals, contract expirations and right of first refusal.
* Maintain timely and accurate contract files along with supporting documentation in the contract management system along with ensuring accurate counter party and contract data within the trading platform (Endur).
* In coordination with Black Hills' legal and regulatory departments, prepare and submit regulatory and/or legal requests as required to include drafting notices, other standard form documents, correspondence to customer inquiries, and assist and support state and federal regulatory requests related to state or federal gas prudence review or investigations.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the reporting of the annual future commitment activity for the 10k filing while ensuring completeness and accuracy.
* Provide monthly invoice reconciliation assistance for pipeline and transportation contract settlements for the Endur natural gas trading life cycle software solution.
* Serve as a resource to Gas Supply, Gas Transportation Services, Energy Services, Legal and other business functions as needed. Participates in special projects and completes ad-hoc reporting as directed.

What Is Required:
* Bachelor's Degree relevant field of work such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or any other field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in the natural gas industry and/or experience in one or more functions relevant to this position, contracts/transportation contracts, commercial development, tariffs and regulations, or risk management.
* Familiarity with natural gas, LNG, and/or power contractual terms/agreements, capable of interpreting and understanding contractual language and relationship between various agreements.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize multiple tasks and handle assignments from multiple sources.
* Ability to partner and collaborate with a team and various departments.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

What Is Desired:
* Working knowledge of Front/Middle/Back office best practices and internal controls working with natural gas, LNG, power, related transportation and storage, and financial derivative products.
* Preferred experience with ION OpenLink (Endur).
