Oracle HCM Techno-Functional Lead

Location: Pleasanton, CA

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related work experience.

10+ years of overall IT experience preferably with Oracle HCM.

Hands-on experience with techno-functional aspect of the ERP product is a must.

Technical/functional experience with inbound/outbound/bi-directional interface validation for HCM interfaces (comprising of absence/benefits/payroll/CoreHR data)

System and business experience with HCM modules and integrated solutions in the HR landscape.

Proficient in Oracle HCM modules

Experience with inbound/outbound/bi-directional interface validation for HCM interfaces (comprising of absence/benefits/payroll/CoreHR data)

Proficient in SQL queries and HCM tables to independently validate and retrieve data

Knowledge of bulk data load aspects

Hands on experience with workload schedulers, job types and functional debugging of process issues.

Ability to create OTBI/BI publisher reports for data extracts.

Knowledge on production job batch schedules and interdependencies of batch processes related to Oracle HCM

Good to have: JIRA and qtest experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with business partners to understand complex Time and Labor business requirements, including time entry processes, accrual calculations, payroll integrations, and compliance regulations.

Design comprehensive test plans covering all aspects of Time and Labor functionality, including data validation, system-level integrations, user interface testing, and regression testing.

Execute test cases thoroughly, documenting test results and identifying defects with precision.

Lead the testing of data flows between Time and Labor and other HCM modules, including payroll interfaces, ensuring accurate data transfer and calculations.

Develop user guides and training materials related to Time and Labor functionalities for end users.

Mentor junior testers on best practices for testing Oracle HCM Time and Labor modules.

Defect Management: Proven skills in defect tracking, reporting, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.

Collaboration & Good Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with business partners, technical teams, and end users.

Problem-solving: Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[110,000 - $130,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
