About This Role

The Department of Management in the College of Business (CBA) at Kansas State University is seeking applicants for an Instructor position. The candidate will be responsible for teaching and service activities within the Department. The role will be roughly 80% teaching and 20% service.

Teaching: The desired area of teaching expertise is business and employment law. In addition, it would be helpful to have a supplementary teaching area such as business ethics, international management, or strategic management.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • The candidate must hold a JD (preferred) or an MBA (if MBA, it must be from an AACSB-accredited university).


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Relevant work experience in the legal field (ideally in business law).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate legal concepts to an audience of students or practitioners.
  • Prior university teaching experience in law or management.
  • Ability to teach in a supplementary area beyond business law, such as business ethics, international management, or strategic management.
  • Commitment to understanding the perspectives of diverse others both in the classroom and when collaborating with colleagues.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
