GENERAL SUMMARY: Supervises daily activities of the sterile processing associates to ensure adherence to local policies, procedures, and guidelines/standards from regulatory agencies. Oversees decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments using Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards. Oversees and completes preparation of all case carts as required by following local inventory standards. Evaluates and documents quality assurance program findings and coaches team toward improving regular audit outcomes. Focuses on productivity standards and quality workflow metrics. Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff. POSITION SUMMARY: Henry Ford Rochester Hospital 10:00pm - 6:30am Sunday - Thursday Required On Call every 3-4 weekends and holidays REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3-5 years of experience in a Sterile Processing setting preferred Certification through HSPA or CBSPD preferred Additional Information Organization: Henry Ford Rochester Hospital Department: Sterile Processing 001 Shift: Rotating Union Code: Not Applicable
