As a API Specialist - Partnerships Integrations. You will be responsible for support of third-party commercial partners and their integrations with IDEXX practice management software. You will serve as a subject matter expert across the API offerings and possess a high level of understanding of their use in commercial integrations. In this role, you will -
- Serve as a subject matter expert to support the intake and onboarding process for commercial integrations.
- Responsible for technical scoping for new commercial integration opportunities.
- Responsible for management and support of new commercial integration partners as they build their integrations into IDEXX's software.
- Understand partner use cases and provide guidance as needed to assist with partner implementation.
- Understand integration best practices and provide guidance as needed to ensure high quality integrations.
- Set up and maintain partner sandbox environments.
- Ensure that reasonable timeframes are maintained for onboarding.
- Responsible for ongoing technical support of active commercial integration partners.
- Work closely with Product Managers to gather partner input and leverage feedback to identify the highest value enhancements for existing API offerings.
- Understand, monitor and report on partner API utilization to ensure adherence to guidelines and parameters for commercial integration partners.
- Develop/maintain knowledge of Company products and services as well as changes and developments in the industry affecting work activities.
- May mentor, train and coach others.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
What you need to succeed -
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with APIs.
- Includes technical knowledge of APIs and their application as well as conventions and best practices for implementation.
- High quality customer facing inter-personal skills - experience working with customers and maintaining good customer relationships.
- Communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate complex technical issues to technical and non-technical users in a professional, positive, friendly, and understandable manner.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior staff members.
- Time management skills and context switching to work effectively on multiple high priority initiatives at once.
- Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Atlassian products, Freshdesk experience a plus.
- General knowledge of IDEXX's practice management software a plus.
