Job Summary:

The Senior Digital Web Experience Manager is responsible for optimizing and shaping the ongoing strategy of NRG's retail electricity brand websites to maximize business impact. This role ensures a seamless and high-performing digital presence by prioritizing enhancements and remediations. The Senior Manager collaborates closely with brand strategy, regional go-to-market teams, marketing, communications, Digital, and IT to ensure alignment across initiatives. Success in this role requires strong influencing skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of industry best practices. A key focus is driving the evolution toward a unified customer view across all digital touchpoints, including web, email, and mobile apps.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to discover, prioritize, and champion personalized customer/prospect journeys using automation and other advanced platforms.
  • Assess the current status of websites and develop strategic roadmaps to enhance performance and success.
  • Optimize customer journeys by leveraging data-driven insights and continually improving website functionalities to enhance user experience and engagement.
  • Knowledge of relevant technology and platforms used for digital optimization and customer journey enhancements.
  • Use tools such as customer journey maps to identify strengths and opportunities and communicate these to the broader organization from the perspective of the prospect or customer.
  • Collaborate and implement A/B testing strategies to assess the effectiveness of different customer journey enhancements and make data-backed decisions.
  • Develop roadmap plan for variousomnichannel digital projects to enhance .com or execute data-led consumer journeys (i.e. evaluate stakeholder requests, develop creative briefs in conjunction with strategy team to develop channel plan).
  • Investigate opportunities for dynamic content and develop roadmap to organize and execute.
  • Collaborate on potential software innovations to increase digital speed to market
  • Identifies business requirements and needs through evaluation of goals and partnership with go-to-market teams.
  • Support the implementation of the ideal customer experience for the residential and small business segments, including prospects and customers across regions, and supporting the multi-language web strategy.
  • Drive initiatives by conducting research, identifying opportunities, developing short term and long-term action plans, executing initiatives, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Work with digital, analytics and market research teams to track and drive initiatives for key metrics
  • The ideal candidate is highly analytical, curious, able to identify and tell a story with data, and a self-starter who is a fast learner - creating and delivering projects that truly impact customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with other region / brand customer experience leads to identify and share best practices and ideas.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitors and identify ways to adopt their best practices.
  • Lead digital marketing team toward best-in-class user experience across multiple brand websites

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid 3x per week and open office environment.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  • Minimal travel only as required for special projects or meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or equivalent discipline
  • 10+ years in digital and marketing experience with 3+ years leading direct reports
  • Project management experience required.
  • Ability to manage an environment with competing priorities and initiatives.
  • Online, web, and/or mobile experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of digital marketing best practices
  • Proven ability to adapt in a flexible and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer and prospect needs into requirements. Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; i.e. effectively communicates with internal groups on ideas and resolves issues; presents complex information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
  • Ability to accept feedback.
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity.
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive.
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working within content management systems.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising, business or related field.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities
