You are responsible for building data-driven products that will unlock compelling insights important to the government affairs industry. As a member of the BGOV product team, you will lead the research, discovery, prioritization and roadmap process for data products that will help customers grow their businesses across all levels of government. You will partner closely with our data, design, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to set priorities and ensure a smart, ambitious product vision.
What you will do:
Reports directly to VP, Product and collaborates with cross-functional partners and leadership to establish priorities and product strategy for data platform and visualization products Own the overall product roadmap Own with design, data analytics and engineering the ideation, technical development and operationalizing of data ingestion from third-party sources Engage with users regularly to maintain expert level understanding of their business and data needs and how BGOV's data platform can solve for them. Iterate with cross-functional business and data teams on research and market analysis to define data needs and integrate new and innovative product requirements into roadmap that enhance user satisfaction. Partner with the entire build team (design, engineering, product) to establish requirements that deliver the best possible user experience. Define metrics and develop methods to track product performance. Clearly communicate performance and use data to evaluate product decisions and prioritize roadmap. Contribute to a culture of collaboration and inclusion across all disciplines.
You need to have:
5+ yearsof experience inproduct managementwith shippingsuccessful data products or machine learning platforms Experience working with SQL, ETL, business intelligence tools and building data infrastructure. Proficiency working in cloud platforms such as Azure/GCP/AWS Excellent customer experience intuition - demonstrated success in creating innovative, user-friendly websites and/or mobile applications. Strong analytical and quantitative skills - extreme comfort with data and using data to make -decisions about product development. Implementation proficiency - ability to translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements. Excellent communication skills - demonstrated success for building buy-in for innovate and bold product vision. Technical aptitude - ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.
