Systems Administrator, Advisor

Peraton is seeking a System Administrator to join our team in the Fort Meade, MD / Annapolis Junction, MD area. Our dynamic team delivers information security solutions that facilitate secure data flows and the detection/prevention of unauthorized behaviors, performs system security vulnerability assessments and solution development, provide enterprise-level network, server, desktop, and application security services.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree).
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 2 is required.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required.
• Ten (10) years' experience as a Sys Admin in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Strong Windows Admin proficiency.
• Strong Linux Admin proficiency.
• Ability to provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
• Ability to perform light physical labor (installing and recovering equipment less than 10lbs to/from their mounted positions).
• Ability to configure and manage Linux (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with ElasticSearch and /or Splunk data analytics would be beneficial but is not required.
