About the Opportunity:

Join a thriving breast surgical oncology practice supporting a busy surgeon dedicated to excellence in patient care. This role involves managing both inpatient and outpatient care, overseeing postoperative management, conducting breast cancer risk assessments, and providing ongoing surveillance. You'll be an integral member of a close-knit, highly experienced team including 1 surgeon, 2 RNs, 1 MA, and 1 surgery scheduler.

* Dynamic Clinical Role: Participate in all aspects of breast oncology care, from preoperative assessments to postoperative follow-ups, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.

* Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to quality care and innovative treatment approaches.

* Professional Growth: Opportunity to attend Breast Cancer Conferences, engage in rotations with other oncology providers, and receive extensive Epic computer training covering inpatient and outpatient note templates, charting, ordering, in-basket review, staff messaging, and more.

* Technology & Training: Benefit from remote technology access including Telmediq, Imprivata, Epic Haiku, Outlook, and Citrix, as well as a thorough orientation and training program that includes tours of clinics and hospitals (INW Deaconess and Valley Hospitals).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in breast surgical oncology is highly desired - this is the first APP position supporting a busy surgeon, so candidates with a strong background in breast care will excel.

* APP Breast Certification through the American Society of Breast Surgeons is preferred (or the ability to initiate certification after six months in the breast surgery practice).

* Must be credentialed with INW Deaconess and Valley Hospitals.

  • Washington State Nurse Practitioner license by the time of employment
  • DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $136,984.00 - $185,795.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
