This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

This position is not eligible for a telecommuting schedule.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure routine maintenance and repairs are performed for contract facilities and their Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE). This includes internal moves
  • Assist in the operation, maintenance, and modifications of all critical environmental building systems including mechanical, electrical, cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and repairs to equipment
  • Oversee all aspects of reconstruction of office space and movement of people to ensure minimal hindrance to business operations
  • Responsible for successful day-to-day facilities operations
  • Assist customers with facilities issues
  • Interact with government agencies to ensure facilities are functioning properly.
  • Report any malfunctions or lack of compliance and work requests to the appropriate Base Facilities Maintainer
  • Maintain effective, timely and respectful communication and interaction with customers and support organizations
  • Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance with minimal disruption to work activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's Degree in a technical, business or engineering field, preferred
  • Two or more years' experience in facilities maintenance
  • Experience with facilities management procedures and policies
  • Experience with operating procedures of facilities and equipment
  • Experience working with company facilities and equipment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs to include Outlook, Word and Excel

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Ability to spend considerable time standing and walking
  • Ability to occasionally move or lift supplies or equipment
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Must be able to travel on occasion
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required

The salary range for this role is $71,800 - 92,083; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
