Summary
The Accountant will support NYPA's Controller's business unit, reporting into the Senior Manager Plant & Cost Accounting, and will perform professional accounting work at NYPA relating to the compilation, treatment, and analysis of financial data leading to preparation of financial reports and cost of service schedules. The Accountant will maintain accounting records and prepare financial statements in accordance with USGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP),Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and provisions of Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). The Accountant will also assist with the classification of cost between Capital and O&M, along with cataloging capital costs within the appropriate FERC system of accounts and NYPA Policy. Valuable skills include Excel, ERP (preferably SAP), strong communication and collaboration skills, an interest in learning, and the ability to pivot as needed due to business needs. #LI-JP1 Responsibilities

The estimated salary range for this position is: $74,340.00 - $102,220.00.
