Responsibilities

This is a hybrid position with several days per week required to be on site in Washington DC.

Job Responsibilities:

    Operate as a Lead with Project Management duties for a small team.
  • Facilities Operations lead of large network of networking components
  • Understanding of the different types of networking equipment to include routers, switches, modems, wireless. Mostly Cisco.
  • Being able to interface with other leads and the Federal Government leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of Service Now ticketing system.
  • Provide onsite and remote IT support for office relocations, consolidations, renovations and space reductions.
  • Understanding of network diagrams, layer 1, cable and wiring, patch panels, ethernet and fiber.
  • Provide network configuration support including maintaining a telecom circuit inventory, telecom closets, including addresses and configuration information for all sites and services.
  • Working together and in partnership with other agencies, WAN and Internet services providers for circuit ordering, provisioning, activations, upgrades, maintenance, and management.
  • Provide project management for coordination and management for IT office installations and relocations.
  • Attend space meetings to support regions with IT projects.
  • Coordinate and support network activation and equipment installation.
  • Monitor and maintain cooling systems installed in all Datacom closets containing network equipment throughout the country.
  • Act as POC for customer Facilities management requests
  • Provide mentoring of junior Facilities Operations team members
  • Minimal travel as needed.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience, may have lead experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Ability to provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Ability to look at diagrams and work with Power Point.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team and basic presentation skills
  • Ability to understand basic networking terminology

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
