Genesis10 is seeking a Financial Data Architect for a 6 month contract position with a mortgage loan corporation located in McLean, VA. This is a hybrid position and requires being onsite Tuesday through Thursday. Only Local Candidates will be considered. Summary: Understand how existing applications work, conduct research on data input and output for each application, create artifacts and recommendations for Architecture & BTO Leads to dete rmined modernization and migration strategies for databases, platforms, APIs etc. This role is supporting an enterprise-wide effort for data modernization- looking at current applications/systems documenting current state dependencies and how those dependencies would be impacted by future state data strategy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, economics, statistics or related fields. 8+ years of work experience; strong communication skills 3+ years of financial services industry knowledge with knowledge of mortgage financing highly desirable. Knowledge of relational database and SQL. Understanding of data modeling and data architecture Data processing skills like Excel, VBA, python. (for data validation and analysis) Knowledge of UNIX operating system and shell scripts. Keys to Success in this Role: Deep curiosity to learn with critical thinking.
