The University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development, Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education, is seeking candidates for the role of Educational Support Specialist. This position involves supporting, guiding, and mentoring full-time/part-time graduate, undergraduate, and non-degree students across various areas of emphasis. The incumbent(s) will provide programmatic guidance, student mentorship, limited advising, and other student support services as needed. Additionally, the role may involve updating course content, collecting non-research data, and assisting the department with limited administrative functions. A bachelor's degree in education or related field is required a master's degree in education is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of teaching in an elementary/secondary or post-secondary setting or providing student support services in a post-secondary setting is also referred. This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year.
