Software Engineer Intern

Rho is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our technology team. This internship is ideal for a junior or senior college student with a strong academic interest in big data, statistical tools, and data sciences. The internship requires a commitment of 25 hours per week and is expected to last through August 2025 and will be mostly a remote opportunity within the Raleigh / Durham, NC area.

In this role you will:

Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and big data platforms.
• Work in a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and make a real impact.

• Collaborate with Rho's technology team to set up statistical and data science tools in containerized environments.
• Work with big data platforms such as Snowflake.
• Research and evaluate various tools and technologies, assessing their pros and cons.
• Set up and configure tools, and demonstrate their functionality.
• Document design, approaches, and observations.
• Ensure all work artifacts and intellectual property developed during the internship belong to Rho.

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a college program in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong academic interest in big data, statistical tools, and data sciences.
• Experience or coursework in containerized environments and big data platforms is a plus.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
