Responsibilities

Summary

Under general direction, performs a variety of complex planning activities required to attain production objectives for the assigned product families. Generate and coordinate schedules so that completion dates are met. Work with management and other departments to resolve problems. Maintain ERP and related systems to drive correct signals for material purchasing, material planning, production planning, inventory control, cost control, and shipping/receiving plans. Responsible to resolve material related issues due to supply-based problem, inventory errors, or demand changes. Liaise with cross functions and internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Release production orders to the factory based on sales orders or other demand triggers.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for creating, tracking, and reporting raw material requisitions across ERP systems.
  • Coordination of the outside processing to the respective vendors and provide requirement projections for capacity planning.
  • Continuous analysis of stock levels and work in process.
  • Analyze anticipated business forecast and for the assignment of customer due dates.
  • Check material & component shortages and create requisitions in Oracle.
  • Liaise with customer service; resolve customer service issues with follow-ups, expedited orders, and past dues. Meet with customers as needed.
  • Set priorities at shop floor to ensure department goals are met.
  • Daily/Weekly Review of customer demand.
  • Monthly Review Backlog vs Available Materials/Components/Finished. goods and develop a standardized Production Plan
  • Daily monitoring of Work in Process.
  • Conduct daily production meeting with shop floor personnel.
  • Daily new order ads review.
  • Manage inventory levels.
  • Interface with Purchasing, Engineering, Sales & shop personnel.
  • Update and maintain accurate planning information in MRP System.
  • Keeps work area clean, safe and in an orderly fashion on a daily basis.
  • Performs other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; minimum of three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and proficiency in Excel
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • ERP, QAD, COP, systems experience is a plus

  • Need to be able to wear safety steel toe shoes and walk around at shop floor environment as needed.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Hearing protection is required while on the shop floor.

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package available day one of hire, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $47,000 to $64,000.
