The Research Associate in the REACH Lab in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences within Temple University's College of Public Health will support research focused on community participation for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This role provides the opportunity to contribute to multiple lab projects, leveraging the candidate's unique skills and interests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research with the IDD/ASD population while developing and applying a broad set of skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Essential functions:
Duties involve conducting and coordinating data collection activities across various locations (in-person and virtual), utilizing tools such as REDCap, SPSS, Microsoft Teams, and Zotero for data management, and maintaining organized databases. Strong organizational skills are essential, as this role requires meeting deadlines, managing multiple activities, and collaborating closely with team members and external stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research and to support dissemination efforts within an inclusive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities also include creating and managing market social media content to promote research findings, as well as supporting dissemination efforts. The candidate will help with numerous writing tasks that are part of the recruitment, communication, and dissemination process for the lab's research. Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) procedures is highly desirable.

Required Education & Experience: Bachelor Degree and at least two years of research experience and work with individuals with IDD and/or ASD. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

*Experience using social media to share professional information.
*Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary research team and to provide support to various levels of leadership.

*Strong organizational and time management skills.
*Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, and adherence to project deadlines.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
*Demonstrated ability to conduct research fact finding searches, including internet and scholarly literature searches
*Ability to travel to off-site locations/sites accessible via public transportation.
*Familiarity with databases and data collection systems.
*Knowledge of tools such as REDCap, SPSS, Microsoft Teams, and Zotero.
*Flexibility to adapt to dynamic environments and prioritize tasks effectively.
*Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach aligning with the lab's mission.

Preferred:
*Ability to travel to off-site locations/sites that may not be accessible via public transportation.

This position requires a background check.
This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.

This position is temporarily assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
