HJF is seeking an Education Administrative Specialist I (Intermittent 10-12hrs/wk) to perform a wide variety of administrative and educational duties in support of the assigned education institution, school or learning department.

This position will be in support of the Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP). This position will be in support of the Psychological, Social, and Spiritual Fitness (PSS) directorate, specifically the Spiritual Fitness project portfolio. The incumbent will work on evaluating and improving the evidence base of a social and spiritual fitness program within the DoD for the "Evidence-Based Social and Spiritual Fitness Programming for the Army" (OCCH) project.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.


Responsibilities

  • Provide broad administrative support to the PSS team staff, including staff leadership.
  • Provide overall support for creating and editing documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and the development of study technical reports
  • Working with the OCCH project team, translate the curriculum mapping process and incorporate it into deliverables, due to partner per the project narrative and statement of work.
  • Assist OCCH project team with interpreting the results of the curriculum mapping process and providing feedback to the program
  • Attend weekly project sync meetings with the PSS team
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree. Preference for degrees in Social Sciences.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years experience required
  • Preference for experience in educational and/or administrative tasks.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, may also require knowledge of Google Suite and other office applications
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and complete varied assignments on a timely basis
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse client group including educational leaders, faculty, staff and guests

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily ina remote setting.

Compensation

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $18.25-$23/hr. Actual hourly pay will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
