Maintenance Technician

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Pay: $35.00/hr

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in commercial building operations and maintenance
• High school diploma with technical school certification
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Journeyman License
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Prior experience with chemical treatment of non-potable water and steam systems
• Proven understanding of current issues relating to building operations and maintenance, including CFC and indoor air quality (IAQ)

Job Duties: As a Maintenance Technician, your daily duties will include assisting in the maintenance of plumbing, electrical systems, basic carpentry, and steam systems, along with specialty items such as doors, locks, door closures, and furniture, as well as performing general mechanical and electrical work as required. You will collaborate with licensed tradespeople and watch engineers, executing preventive maintenance tasks while keeping accurate maintenance records in line with the building's system. Additionally, you will train or familiarize assigned employees with building operations and make recommendations to your supervisor regarding any defective equipment within your area of responsibility.
