Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. The Senior Project Manager will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee and direct the performance of the Project Managers for all test, maintenance and capital projects in the Flight Branch. To accomplish this task, the Senior Project Manager is required to have a working knowledge of and capability with the following job duties.

Job Duties:

    Responsible for program/project management leadership for a group of large and complex multidisciplinary projects including test and capital improvement projects. May include large maintenance, test or multiple interfacing projects.
  • Point of contact for all projects managed by the Flight Branch ensuring that all required documentation and reporting is performed by scheduled deadlines including project plans, project baselines, Earned Value Management reporting, supporting all required Systems Engineering reviews; tracking and controlling scope of work, resource utilization, schedules, and work accomplishments; initiating corrective actions as required; maintaining contact with the client, resolving contractual conflicts, or elevating conflicts to branch level for resolution; and other duties as assigned by the Flight Branch Manager.
  • Supervisor and Timesheet Approver for the team of Project Managers supporting the Flight Branch including performance evaluations.
  • Represent the company to current and prospective clients, customers, and users.
  • Apply standard engineering methods and techniques to evaluate opportunities for facility capability upgrades.
  • Facilitates the collection of test and project requirements, objectives and customer expectations, and clearly communicates this information to project teams.
  • May require project updates to the Branch Manager(s) and local Air Force Director.
  • May have other project managers or project management analysts reporting to a position.
  • Responsible to deliver successful portfolio of projects safely, with all quality attributes, on time and within budget.
  • Perform cost and performance measurement analysis against planned and estimated scope.
  • Ensures compliance with appropriate codes, standards, and regulations (including those for environmental work).
  • Prepares and executes Project Plans using cost, schedule, and performance objectives, resourcing, verification and validation and risk management.
  • Support common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
  • Assist other project managers, principles, or officers in the management of extremely large, multidiscipline projects.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited university and a minimum of ten (10) years progressive and relevant experience in an engineering or related technical field or a minimum of sixteen (16) years of progressive and relevant experience in lieu of degree. Additional relevant education can be substituted for overall experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain credentials to access the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in an engineering discipline, construction management, business administration field from an accredited university.
  • Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, and other project-related activities, including their interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) knowledge.
  • Primavera P6 scheduling knowledge.
  • Ability to plan, organize, lead and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusion.
  • Ability to anticipate change and to adjust promptly and effectively
