Overview

TRC delivers solutions that help our clients achieve a clean and equitable energy future for the communities they serve. TRC's Advanced Energy group is seeking a marketing coordinator to support the promotion and adoption of residential and commercial energy efficiency programs.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, a self-starter, innovative, comfortable receiving and providing feedback, wants to make a positive impact, and is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.

This position will support communications and marketing efforts to reach the diverse communities we serve across Oregon and Southwest Washington. In this role, you will lead marketing projects, conduct data-driven research, and produce business-to-business and business-to-consumer content that supports energy reduction and sustainability.

The position will be based in Portland, Oregon. Employees are required to work on-site one day per month.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in writing content for different audiences across print and digital media, including websites, fact sheets, print ads and blog posts
  • Support digital marketing initiatives by scheduling and tracking email marketing campaigns, helping to monitor website updates, and assisting with Google Display, Paid Search, and LinkedIn ads
  • Research and coordinate logistics for events, webinars, and speaking opportunities
  • Conduct market research and compile insights to support marketing strategies
  • Track and report on marketing campaign performance using basic analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and social media insights
  • Assist with the production and organization of marketing materials, including printed collateral, event swag, email templates and social media content
  • Provide administrative support for marketing meetings, including preparing agendas and documenting action items
  • Complete other marketing coordination and administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of related experience in marketing, communications, or content development. Internships and academic experience will be considered
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience creating content for blogs, websites, newsletters and digital ads
  • Basic understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) tools like Ahrefs, Moz, or SEMRush, and website analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, or similar systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., data sorting, pivot tables) are a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is a plus
  • Self-motivated problem solver who is eager to learn new skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team on projects
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to clearly communicate and simplify complex concepts for various audiences
  • Interest or experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or related industries is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
