TRC is seeking a NACE II for the Rochester, NY area.

Description:

• Provide field and shop inspection/testing of application of coating systems to steel structures.
• Monitor the storage conditions to verify compliance with the coating manufacturer's requirements for storage temperatures and shelf life of coating and caulking materials.
• Verify that abrasive materials comply with the applicable SSPC Abrasive standards (AB 1, AB 2, and AB 3).
• Survey surfaces to be prepared to document whether grease and oil have been removed, and that sharp edges and weld spatter are removed in accordance with the SP requirements.
• Verify the steel surfaces to be cleaned and painted have been cleaned in accordance with SSPC SP WJ-4.
• Confirm Chloride, Sulfate, and Nitrate Ion remediation.
• Examine protective coverings to determine if the placement meets the SP requirements.
• Monitoring of ambient conditions such as air and surface temperatures, relative humidity, and dew point to document that the work is done under specified conditions.
• Check operations requiring compressed air such as blast cleaning, conventional spray application, and air for blow down for moisture and oil contamination in accordance with ASTM D 4285.
• Examine equipment used for surface preparation to determine if it meets the specified operating parameters (e.g., nozzle pressure, air compressor discharge pressure, nozzle type and size).

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified NACE II
• Ability to generate and send reports electronically

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
