City Experiences is seeking a HSSQE Administrative Assistant for our Statue City Cruises operation in Jersey City.

About the Opportunity:

The ISO Administrative Assistant is a vital member of the Statue City Cruises team. Individual will support ISO programs that will meet regulatory compliance and meet demands of corporate and contracted items.

The right person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody Hornblower's RESPECT Service System.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Assist in training, where deemed necessary
  • Act as Hazard Communications (Hazcom) Coordinator
  • Develop "All Hands on Deck" volunteer program events / Lead Volunteer
  • Develop events that build ties with Statue City Cruises and NPS, Community, & Employees
  • Develop & research green initiatives, including green products and other eco-friendly programs
  • Ensure AED's are in working condition
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal environmental regulations
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal health regulations
  • Ensure First Aid products and Kits are maintained onboard vessels and in other areas deemed necessary
  • Maintain ISO/HSSQE documented information, databases, records and controlled documents
  • Maintain status as First Aid/CPR/AED certified instructor
  • Participate in the Quality Team meetings as co-chair as directed by the HSSQE Director
  • Perform HSSQE Inspections on a regular basis and share results with Department leadership
  • Prepare and participate in the auditing process (internal / external), as assigned
  • Provide ISO management systems support as directed by Department head
  • Work with a "safety-first" attitude.
  • Minimize your impact on the environment when at work.
  • Statue City Cruises is a team oriented work environment, other duties and responsibilities may be required as deemed necessary
  • Use RESPECT customer service tools
  • Other duties, as assigned


Requirements & Qualifications:



  • 1 to 3 years experience in passenger vessel / tourism industry a plus
  • Organized, details oriented and able to handle high volume.
  • Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • We are a quality hospitality organization that serves the public year round. Working weekends and holidays may be required.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Statue Cruises from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Employees may be required to work nights and weekends depending upon work related projects.
