Summary of This Role Interprets impact, and manages implementation of, card scheme enhancements to the clearing platforms for transaction processing, as it relates to interchange qualification, fees, exception processing, and clearing.
- Analyzes complex specifications of card scheme and/or business requirements - documenting impacts, risks, and technical requirements
- Manages multiple compliance initiatives/projects, consulting with internal and external partners, to ensure back-end processing is compliant with scheme mandates, business requirements, and regulatory rules
- Coordinates testing with internal and with external partners, including card brands
- Creates test plans
- Reviews test results to ensure they meet expected outcomes
- Escalates issues or concerns as needed
- Participates in relationships with third parties such as card schemes (ex Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express)
- Stays current on alerts, bulletins, news and other documentation from card brands and the payments industry
- Identifies risks and opportunities
- Creates project related documentation, including plan manager, fee charts, bulletins or other related documentation for internal or external publication
- Provides status updates to management on initiatives/projects
- Performs other duties to ensure back-end platform transaction processing remains compliant with business and card scheme expectations - with focus on minimizing risks, both financial and non-financial
What Part Will You Play?
- Acts as a liaison between end-users, technical teams, business owners, card schemes in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal operational performance. Develops working relationship with key stakeholders and gains an understanding of the basic nature of the acquiring business. Consults/collaborates with other team members when necessary - leveraging internal experience. Commuicates compliance impacts, risks, project status, to internal teams. Facilitates meetings and leads discussions when necessary
- Creates/maintains documentation to include, but not limited to, plan manager, business designs, test plans, bulletins, file specifications, rate charts, project status logs, test tracking logs. Tracks and documents changes for functional and business specifications. Administers all procedures, methodology and/or application standards to include payment card industry and security related compliance, both internal and external
- Conducts and supports testing/planning/validation by confirming the intended functionality and resolving issues to ensure successful implementation
- Coordinates implementations
- Assists with the detailed project planning efforts on larger projects
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Payment Industry experience
- Relevant Experience or Degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field; or equivalent training or experience in lieu of degree
- Typically Minimum 4 Years Relevant Exp
- Professional experience working with end-users to meet business needs

- Scripting knowledge, card scheme industry knowledge, understanding data structures and file formats
- Card Scheme Interchange Compliance experience

$65,000 - $78,000 The above represents the expected (select: salary or hourly) range for this job requisition.
