Data Analyst - Temporary

As a Data Analyst on the Operations Analytics team, you will provide analytics and insights into manufacturing and supply chain and business systems in support of broad program areas across Viasat! A significant amount of this role's responsibility is aggregating, cleansing, joining, and storing data from varied sources. The individual in this position will develop analytical models while automating reporting and bringing the data visualization to life by building dashboards for end business users. You will work within the system while helping the business with embedded analytics, dashboarding, and advanced analytics within SAP, SAC, and Tableau.

• Parse and manipulate raw data using tools including SQL, Python, Tableau, SAC
• Ingest, understand, and fully synthesize large amounts of data from various sources to build a full comprehension of the story.
• Analyze large data sets, while finding the truth in data, and develop efficient processes for data analysis and simple, elegant visualization.
• Design and implement analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP HANA, including SAP HANA Calculation Views, CDS Views, and SAC data modeling for optimized data reporting and visualization.
• Identifies data gaps, research methods to fill these gaps and provide recommendations.
• Experience building intuitive and actionable dashboards and data visualizations that drive business decisions (Tableau/SAC).

• 5+ years of related experience
• 3+ years SQL experience
• 3+ years data analysis experience with emphasis in reporting
• 2+ years Python experience in data cleansing, statistics, and data visualization packages
• 2+ years dashboarding experience. Tableau/SAC experience or equivalent with data visualization tools.
• Experience in crafting visualizations and their usage charts, tables, maps, filters, drop-down menus, hiding functions, interactive objects.
• Skilled in deciphering key players, adept at encouraging relationships, and influential in driving progress.
• Essential to possess superb communication proficiencies and efficacy in collaborating seamlessly with all pertinent parties involved
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, a related field or equivalent years of experience.
• US Citizenship is required
• Ability to work out of our office in Carlsbad, CA or fully remote in the US

• Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and SAC
• Proficient in SAP HANA data modelling using Attribute View, Analytic View, and Calculation View, SQL, importing source system metadata, hierarchies and developing.
• SAP/SAC Certifications
• Familiarity with corporate ERP systems, i.e. Oracle and SAP.
• Superb communication and teamwork abilities
