The Portfolio Optimization Associate is an entry level position into portfolio management responsible for employer retirement account management and all front-end preparation of client core portfolios. This includes reviewing, monitoring and rebalancing employer retirement plan accounts. The role will also be responsible for quality control of new portfolio implementation to ensure each portfolio is properly implemented as well as entering customizations to accommodate custom strategy buildouts. Additionally, there is opportunity to participate in numerous operational functions covering many aspects of wealth management for individuals and families.

What you will do

  • Develop target allocations for employer retirement accounts to align them with client core portfolio strategies

  • Rebalance & monitor employer retirement accounts

  • Provide allocation recommendations on employer retirement accounts

  • Place customizations to accommodate custom client buildouts

  • Oversee quality control of new portfolio implementation, including setting up internal systems to accommodate custom personalization and client preferences

  • Operational support for Trading & Research team

What you will bring

  • 6 months to one year experience in the industry

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics or Finance, or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of investment products (Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, ETFs)

  • Excellent operational, organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage and process complex operational work

  • Proven abilities to maintain appropriate policies & procedures for regulatory-driven requirements.

  • Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and collaborative

  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills to make decisions and solve problems using sound, inclusive reasoning and judgement

  • Previous Trading Experience

  • Beginner to Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • Experience using Salesforce

Base Salary Range

$54,200.00 - $74,600.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
