Position Summary:
Travere Therapeutics is seeking a Manager, Market Insights to join our growing Commercial Insights and Operations team. This is an important, new role for which the right candidate will enhance the team's core competencies across the organization. This role will report to the Associate Director, Market Insights and will be responsible for analyzing the company's products, markets, and competition. The Manager will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design and lead primary market research to primarily support the potential launch of FILSPARI (sparsentan) in Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), with potential to support additional needs in other indications. This role will support multiple cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, and Market Access. Their insights and recommendations will inform strategic marketing and sales decisions.

The preferred candidate will have a strong background in primary market research in healthcare. They will have a demonstrated ability to think creatively, combine and leverage multiple data sources to uncover insights, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations. Rare disease and nephrology experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:

* Design and Lead Key Market Research: For assigned business questions, think creatively to recommend and design appropriate methodologies to derive insights from relevant customers. Example projects include: message and creative concept testing, launch performance ATU, and sales force effectiveness.
* Project Management: Participate in vendor selection, oversee day-to-day management of select projects/analyses with a high level of detail, report progress to team leadership, lead interpretation and synthesis of results, and ensure projects stay within budget constraints.
* Interpreting Results and Drawing Actionable Insights: Interpret and synthesize findings in the context of business questions and develop actionable recommendations.
* Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with colleagues from Insights & Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Market Access to identify key business questions and support ad hoc insights needs (for strategic direction, forecast assumptions, tactic execution, etc.).
* Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest research methodologies/techniques and industry trends. Integrate new methodologies to enhance existing approaches and continuously improve the quality of insights generated.
* Contribute to Team Resource Allocation: Participate in formulating the annual insights budget, delivering the business case for projects/tools as appropriate. Manage the administration of assigned budget effectively.

Education/Experience Requirements:

* Bachelor's in Marketing, Business, Market Research, Life Sciences or related field required. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
* 6+ years of relevant experience in market research, marketing, and/or competitive intelligence within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.

Additional Skills/Experience/Requirements:

* Excellent working knowledge of the various qualitative and quantitative research methodologies/best practices for generating accurate and meaningful insights.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to integrate primary market research, secondary data, and competitive intelligence to synthesize insights and deliver actionable recommendations.
* Advanced skill level with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
* Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/priorities concurrently; experience managing vendors and consultants.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to convert analyses and conclusions into easily understandable and persuasive oral and written presentations.
* Applies basic consulting skills including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, and translation of solutions to business value.
* Excellent collaboration skills, building meaningful internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.
* Proven, consistent track record of high performance in similar role(s): increasing scope of responsibilities, creating and managing complex project plans, timelines, budgets, and critical paths.
* Ability to travel up to 20% domestically for Company-sponsored events/meetings.
* All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.

Target Base Pay Range:

$112,000.00 - $145,000.00
