Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Program Manager to work in our Material Minimization, Security & International Safeguards Department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our EROB facility with every other Friday off. You will report to the Department Manager.

As a Program Manager for National and Homeland Security Nuclear Nonproliferation division, this individual will manage multiple projects, assist Division Management in setting strategic goals, and build new opportunities for expanding the Laboratory's role in U.S. Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation to reduce the threat of malefactors acquiring weapons-usable nuclear or radiological materials, equipment, technology, and expertise. The individual will lead multi-disciplinary teams and execute projects with focus on Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation research and development programs. This position will develop and maintain relationships across multiple clients in the reactor conversion and Low Enriched Uranium (LEU) fuels development sector with continuous potential for other stakeholder involvement.

Responsibilities Include:

Maintain awareness of potential sponsors and their current objectives and funding levels.

Develop and maintain new, large, long-term sustained Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation Programs with agencies both nationally and internationally.

Leverage collaborations to ensure that the best teams are formed to address national and international challenges faced by the NNSA and other agencies.

You will establish the INL as a trusted leader and provider of nuclear nonproliferation safeguards and security solutions to the nonproliferation customer set.

Apply scientific and engineering theories, principles, methods, concepts, tools and technologies to loosely-defined assignments of varying and broadly defined scope to address nuclear nonproliferation safeguards and security interests associated with NNSA and DOE-NE.

Establish collaborations with academia, other national laboratories, international agencies and industry where necessary to provide the necessary skill sets to customer-sponsored programs and INL Laboratory-Directed Research and Development.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:




  • Advanced / Masters degree in business management, Project Management, or related field from an accredited institution and 10 years of relevant experience; or Ph. D and 4 years of relevant experience.



  • Experience functioning as a project lead, project manager, or lead role determined by level.



  • Must have experience working with the nonproliferation community (customers, national laboratories, academia, non-governmental organizations) and implementing projects in the nonproliferation space.



  • Depending on assigned directorate, you must be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain a "Q" security clearance


  • Must be willing to work on-site in our INL Facilities.


The Ideal Candidate will have the below:



  • Advanced degree in Nuclear Engineering.
  • 10 years relevant reactor engineering and nuclear non-proliferation experience.
  • Experience with US High Performance Research Reactor (USHPRR) program


Job Information:




  • The pay range for this position is $109,260 - $223,908. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
