We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead and perform data reduction and data analysis of binary Data Exchange (DX) files from the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) simulations, tests, and exercises. The candidate will use and/or develop custom software applications to transform the binary data from the Ship Self-Defense System into a human-readable form and filter the data to reduce it to manageable datasets including only those messages, structs, and fields that are required for analysis. The candidate will examine and interpret Ship Self-Defense System data and plots from testing and evaluation to uncover insights and patterns, drawing conclusions based on the information contained within the dataset. The candidate will create and deliver presentations of the analysis to key stakeholders and write Trouble Reports (TRs) to make the SSDS Combat System Engineering Agent (CSEA) aware of possible issues preventing some SSDS components from operating as expected. The candidate will act as a Data Collection Coordinator (DCC), responsible for recording, collecting, and distributing SSDS Combat System (CS) data from land based and sea based test events.

Qualifications:

Candidate will have experience as a DCC and leading developer teams responsible for maintaining NG-DART, a C++ MFC application, a Visual Basic .NET Windows Forms application, and an F# WPF application. Experience installing and configuring Azure DevOps Server.

Education Requirement:



  • BS degree in engineering, computer science or other relevant field
  • MS degree in engineering, computer science or other relevant field preferred


Other Job-Related Requirements:



  • May require work onboard naval ships (in-port/underway).


Security Clearance:



  • Must hold an active DoD SECRET clearance or at a minimum an Interim SECRET clearance.
