Depending on candidate residence, this position may be fulfilled in one of MEC's offices in Madison, WI, Mayville, WI, Milwaukee, WI, or Fond du Lac, WI.

Responsibilities

    Interacts internally to transact customer requests for customer RFQs reviewing CAD models, drawings, and customer specifications to create defined and manufacturable parent and child prints for estimating and NPI purchasing.
  1. Collaborates with NPI purchasing and supply base to define specifications, cost structure, and quote responsiveness.
  2. Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) by using project management tools to coordinate tasks and delivery dates of engineering, tool engineering, manufacturing, and quality on various critical orders to ensure delivery consistent with customer requirements.
  3. Supports the documentation of MEC's manufacturing and tooling capabilities and creates process documentation for estimating.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and drawings.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0
